FLOWERS - This Week's Theme

This float is a participant in the Baguio Flower Festival(Panagbenga). It is decorated with various blooms of Baguio City (summer capital of the Philippines). This is celebrated from February 1-28 annually. It is one of the most colorful feasts in the country. It comes from the Kankanaey term, "a season of blossoming, a time for flowering." This event lures many visitors from all over – young revelers, people attending conventions, balikbayans, local and foreign tourists – to celebrate the flower power of Baguio.
