HOBBY...This week's Photo Hunter's Theme

These are two of my cross stitched projects which I had framed and hanged in my office. Cross stitching was my HOBBY more than 5 years ago and I was able to collect a few projects but I had to stop because I developed carpal tunnel syndrome. I enjoyed this HOBBY very much to the point that I made a lot of items which I gave away as birthday and Christmas gifts.

Those are beautiful! I hate that you have carpel tunnel. My husband has a lot of pain, too, from typing on the computer for years and years!

Beautiful! I have RSI too - but from the computer. It can be so painful, and unfortunately there's no escape from technology...

Wow! You obviously are much more patient than I. I could never finish a project like either of those.

The same thing happened to me! Luckily both you and I got quite a bit done before we had to stop. Your work is so lovely.

I've seen some of these kits before and they look so intricate. Gorgeous. I think that sewing, smocking, needlepoint, computers and even the repetitive movements at my work have given me a touch of carple tunnel.. I try to stave it off.

Hi I found you via a comment you left at your friend's blog. Your funky nightbird attracted me. Then I look at that cartoon at the top of your blog - it is from another level!
Those stitching things people frame - sorry I am a guy and hated compulsory sewing at school ... are they not called "samplers" or something?? Yours are lovely anyhow.
Talking of nightingales I think we have one on our street and another singing at the back of our house. The 3am song is amazing!
    All the best to you

During the blogroll cleaning you were removed (all sites with no PhotoHunt since June were taken off). I know you are a long time player and were always active. If you're just taking a break and plan to return - let me know and I'd love to add you back, OK? Hope all is well.
