THIS WEEK'S THEME: EMPTY

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This used to be where Fantasy Elephant Club was in the late 90's. My family and I had a chance to stay in this island for three days and we absolutely had a grand time. This is located in Marinduque Province, Philippines. To get there, we had to take a plane, then a car up to the shore then a motorized banca to the island. It's a pity that this island is now empty. The owners had to close it due to numerous reports haunting the place.

    Great photo for today's theme.

    Take care,

Beautiful! We have a lot of haunted islands here in Malaysia as well... People seem to be quite superstitious in this area of the world :)

That must have been a wonderful vacation. Someone should build another hotel and advertise to American tourist agencies that the place is haunted. There are a lot of hotels here making a fortune by advertising that they have ghosts. But you knew Americans were weird, didn't you. My "empty" is up, too.

Cool: I have so many questions! Why Fantasy Elephant for the name of a club? What were the hauntings about? Hauntings might keep a place OPEN here! That's a neat post!

What a great twist on the theme! On the other hand, it might just be a refuge for birds and other wildlife.
    Great photo!
